Vanderbilt and Derek Mason has offered 3 star running back Kendall Bussey from Newman High School in New Orleans. Bussey made the announcement today on Twitter.

Bussey rushed for 184 yards on Thursday night and had 3 touchdowns. The 5’8 190 lb. back now has 19 TDs on the season.

Vanderbilt isn’t the only school to recently offer him. USC and Texas A&M also have offered a scholarship this month. Last month Notre Dame and Indiana came calling. Unfortunately Bussey verbally committed to Nebraska in January. If he continues to perform like he has this year his stock keep rising and if he becomes a 4 or 5 star recruit all bets are off and he could flip.

Should the Dores land Bussey he could see some playing time right away. Ralph Webb is the #1 back with Jerron Seymour battling injuries. Brian Kimbrow stays in the doghouse and he may not even be with the team next year. Dallas Rivers has had some carries but he is clearly the #3 guy and hasn’t done a lot to get more carries.
