Titans Picks: Week 11 against Pittsburgh

Posted on 17 November 2014 by Allen

Monday night football comes to Nashville. This brings back a few good memories. It’s going to cold and loud.

The Titans are facing a Steelers squad that was totally humiliated by a Jets team that had no business winning. Their D is a bit banged up. I’m sure they’re ready to prove it was just a fluke, and get back in the hunt for their division. While ineffective last week, their offense has been quite effective lately, with LeVeon Bell posting decent numbers and Rothlesburger dropping bombs on opposing secondaries. Martavis Bryant is a nice developing talent.

The Titans are averaging 16 ppg and have no ‘go to guy’ right now. The Chemistry just isn’t there. It could be, but Mettenburger is only starting his fourth NFL game, and the Steelers are very good at eating rookie QBs alive. That the Steelers are averaging 10 points more per game is telling with nearly 45% 3rd down completion rate to Titans 29%.

The Titans do have a chance to break out in Prime Time, however with only 6 more games left this year they also will have an opportunity to draft the QB of the future – then promptly sign Marshawn Lynch who will be leaving Seattle, once the season ends.

Steelers 27 Titans 14
