The Southeastern Conference unveiled its 11th annual men’s basketball coaches preseason All-SEC first and second teams Thursday, tipping off another great season of SEC men’s basketball.

Eleven different schools are represented on the two teams with Kentucky having five selections while Florida and LSU each had two selections. In all, 29 different players received votes for the coaches’ teams.

The coaches’ preseason All-SEC first and second teams consist of a minimum of eight players on each squad, voted on by the SEC Head Men’s Basketball Coaches. No ties were broken and no predicted order of finish was made.

Damian Jones from Vandy was selected to the First Team after a successful first year in Nashville. The Sophomore from Baton Rouge started 11 games last season and averaged over 11 points per game. Jones was featured on Sportscenter after having a monster dunk against Tennessee in February. With a young team around him this year he will be counted on to be the leader of the team.
