- Middle Tennessee sophomore Olivia Jones has been named the C-USA Player of the Week for the second time this month following a stellar performance in the Blue Raiders’ 98-76 win at Tennessee Tech Sunday.

Jones produced her C-USA leading fifth double-double of the season with 30 points and 12 rebounds. She added two assists and one steal. Jones was efficient in turning in her second 30-plus point game of the season, shooting 65 percent (11-of-17) from the field.

The hometown standout established a career-high with five 3-pointers and shot 56 percent (5-of-9) from beyond the arc.

“We were running our offense well and getting some open looks and high percentage shots,” Jones said. “It was a team win. Everyone played well.”

The Blue Raiders led by eight, 40-32, at the intermission but Jones shot Tennessee Tech out of the game in the second half when she was 6-of-8 from the field, including an eye-popping 4-of-5 from 3-point range.

Jones ranks in the top five of seven statistical categories in C-USA. She leads the conference in scoring with 19.4 points per game.
