Dan Mullen To Serve As Analyst For ESPN2 College Football Playoff National Championship Megacast

Mississippi State head coach Dan Mullen, the 2014 Associated Press Southeastern Conference Coach of the Year, will serve as an analyst for the ESPN2 film room broadcast of the College Football Playoff National Championship Game Monday night.

All platforms on the ESPN Family of Networks are joining to cover the inaugural game, which kicks off at 7:30 p.m. CT.

Mullen will be in studio at Bristol joining Nebraska head coach Mike Riley, Pittsburgh head coach Pat Narduzzi and ESPN analysts Chris Spielman and Tom Luginbill. Mullen will be providing in-depth X and O analysis of the game as it happens on ESPN2 from a film room equipped with multiple camera angles, coaches clicker technology and telestration.

In 2014, Mullen guided Mississippi State to its first 10-win regular season in school history and in the process was named the Maxwell Football Club’s Collegiate Coach of the Year. Mullen was the first coach in the 115-year history of MSU football to claim a National Coach of the Year award.

Mullen led the Bulldogs to their first No. 1 national ranking, a place they spent for five consecutive weeks. MSU then advanced to its first Orange Bowl since 1941.
