Ronda Rousey has her next opponent. The UFC women’s bantamweight champ will face undefeated Bethe Correia at UFC 190 in Rio. This will be Rousey’s first fight in Brazil after fighting all of her fights in North America. “Rowdy” competed in Canada in her second pro fight but going into a hostile environment to face Correia in her backyard could be a recipe for an upset.
Rousey has been on a roll lately. At 11-0 she has finished every opponent and her last two bouts have gone a combined 30 seconds. If she can get by Correia Rousey will have basically cleaned out the division and will face either Jessica Eye or have another bout with Miesha Tate.
Correia could be prime for the upset. She is 9-0 and is perfect in the UFC. The Brazilian defeated two Rousey teammates, Jessamyn Duke and Shayna Baszler last year. The champ didn’t like the way Correia handled herself after the wins and some trash talk has really gotten things heated between the two women.
Antônio Rogério Nogueira vs Shogun Rua is also rumored for the card in Rio.
