Cumberland volleyball coach Kathy Slaughter announced the signing of Birmingham, Ala., native Kara Snell to scholarship papers this week for the 2015 season. She is the seventh signee for the coming year for the Bulldogs.

The Hoover High School product was a two-year letterwinner for coach Julie Dailey, with the Buccaneers reaching the Final Four in the state tournament. Her club team, Team Sting 18 Black, placed fifth nationally last season and she is a team captain on Team Southern Performance this year. She is the daughter of Abraham and Rickeyta Snell.

Snell joins Madeline Lubbehusen (Huntingburg, Ind.), Sara Glassman (Jackson, Tenn.), Moriah Smith (Hendersonville, Tenn.), Ashley Sherrick (Ridgecrest, Calif.), Maci Lerno (El Centro, Calif.) and Caprisha Webster (Johnson City, Tenn.) in this year’s signing class.
