Cumberland University women’s basketball coaches Jeremy Lewis announced the signing of Murray State transfer and Lebanon native Julia Fox this week to scholarship papers for the 2015-16 season. Fox has two years of eligibility remaining.

The 5-foot-8 guard spent the last two seasons at Murray State, averaging 7.6 points as a freshman and 4.5 points while shooting 40 percent from 3-pint range this past year. She netted double figures eight times in 2013-14, including six of the last eight games of the season, scoring 15 points at SIU-Edwardsville and 14 at Eastern Illinois.

Fox made six 3-pointers and registered a career-best 20 points this past season at home versus UT Martin and also netted 12 points against Evansville.

She was a three-time All-District performer and an Honorable Mention selection as a freshman for the Blue Devils at LHS. Fox earned All-Region honors as a senior and finished her career with 1,249 points and 211 made 3-pointers. She was selected All-District Tournament three times as well and was picked to play in the ESPN/Hoopgurlz Super 64 Camp in Atlanta. She is the daughter of Steve and Cindy Fox.
