Vanderbilt vs Western Kentucky has been moved up to Sept. 3rd. The game will be televised live on the SEC Network. Kickoff is set for 7 PM Central at Dudley Field in Nashville.
Commodore fans have to be a little worried after last year’s team laid an egg on Thursday night when they kicked off the season against Temple at home last year. The Hilltoppers were 8-5 last year with a bowl win. They are also returning stud QB Brandon Doughty who will likely be an NFL Draft pick next year.
The Dores have everything to lose and very little to gain by beating WKU. If Derek Mason’s team wins, it’s expected but if they lose, it will get nasty on talk radio on Sept. 4th.
Vanderbilt will likely be better on defense this year but offense is still a question mark. Ralph Webb will be the starter at running back after a standout freshman year. Quarterback and receiver is where the trouble was last year.
