Kenny Ladler

Former Vanderbilt safety Kenny Ladler was released yesterday by Buffalo. The Bills had to get their roster down to 53 men along with every other NFL team yesterday afternoon and there wasn’t room for the former Commodore safety. But today Buffalo announced that they had signed Ladler to the 10 man practice squad.

The Bills practice squad will have DB Deon Broomfield, LB Jimmy Gaines, WR Caleb Holley, DE Ike Igbinosun, DE Bryan Johnson, and QB Jeff Tuel along with Ladler.

NFL practice squad players don’t make the same as players on the 53 man roster but they still do ok. Each practice squad player will make a minimum of $6,300 per week they are on the practice squad but they can make more depending on how much the player and club agree to. If a player does stay on the practice squad for the entire NFL regular season he would earn $107,000.

Ladler signed with the Bills as an undrafted free agent in May. He had a very good camp but a numbers game kept him off the 53 man roster. He will have a chance to get called up is there are injuries during the season.
