LSU locked down the 10th best prospect in Louisiana last week when corner Xavier Lewis committed to the school at “The Opening” in Oregon. Lewis picked the Tigers over Texas, Clemson, Florida, and several other top programs.
It actually was the second time Lewis committed to Les Miles. The East St. John defender (and QB) committed to LSU last year but took a step back and decommitted in the Spring. After weighing his options he chose to go with the Bayou Bengals again after his announcement last week.
With 5 star corner Kevin Toliver already committed to LSU Lewis could be moved to safety. And with 4 star defensive backs and Louisiana natives Deshawn Raymond and Donte Jackson still uncommitted you can bet Les Miles is still working his magic and the LSU secondary could be pretty stout for the next few years.
